Simply brilliant! Easy read and even easier to enact in life. This will change your life.
I had the pleasure of reviewing Ms. Pizzardi's book for this month's issue of The Therapist, and found it to be one of the most helpful resources I have found for grief and loss support. The book covers many types of loss and the myriad ways loss manifests itself in client behavior and emotion. As I was writing my review, my Great Dane (and service/therapy dog) passed away. Lessons In Loss provides resources for therapists who grieve as well - while I didn't expect to need that particular resource, I was so thankful it was there. It provided a much needed guidepost during those initial few weeks. Highly recommend this book as a part of your clinical library!
